PROCESS ENGINEER ? CONTRACT
HIGH PERFORMANCE MATERIALS
BASED NEAR BLACKPOOL
We are seeking an Process Engineer to provide design support to projects involving the engineering, procurement and construction of new facilities, the Rotherham site. This position will run for 23 weeks, April to October, and is on a full time basis.
Assigned to the Senior Project Engineer, you will be involved in providing technical process support and basic process engineering (not conceptual). Most design is copying existing plant. You will be responsible for the production of process descriptions, process data sheets, P&ID revision notes, valve lists, line lists, commissioning plans, as well as pipework sizing and attendance at relief and blowdown studies, hazard studies, layout reviews.
You will also act as commissioning manager for small installations and will provide assistance with cost estimating and planning.
Specific project work assigned to this team includes debottlenecking project (powder feed plant, wash vessels, piping modifications), Site utilities rationalisation (new cooling tower, nitrogen supply modifications), Site amenities improvements, Lightning protection and post takeover work from previous major projects.
To succeed as Process Engineer you should have a Process engineering qualification and experience of fine chemical and utility process plant (including hazardous areas) and experience of site construction and commissioning. You should also be Computer literate (e.g. Microsoft Office).
Experience of powder flow design would be desirable, as would CAD and experience in a design contractor?s office.
